Our waiter was Phenomenal, the food was delicious, the service was fantastic. We came in during morning rush on a Sunday and it was Awesome. Looking forward to coming back😍

This place has slid a bit. The service was a little lacking on a busy morning. Some of the dishes were delicious while others were served with zero love or attention (I'm looking at you biscuits and gravy). There are better places on the hwy. Probably best to keep driving.

They have great breakfast menu that comes with the coffee. Unfortunately, for me, No flavor at all even coffee too. Maybe... that is black water?

I have been coming here since right after they opened in "78" great service, fair prices and big portions. Daily specials, a seniors menu that includes soup or salad and dessert. The soups change daily and are all great but our favorite is the Potatoe Soup and the garlic dressing for my salad is just the best. Had the stuff cabbage rolls the other night and it was such a big portion I had to get a doggy bag. Everyone I have brought here over the years is truly impressed with the experience and have returned regularly.🙃

Good food that’s open 24 hours. We stopped here after a night out in Chicago. Food was good overall, although fries could use some salt. They have a large selection of food to pick from which is nice. Atmosphere was chill and relaxed, they had movies playing on the TVs that kept us entertained while we waited for our food.

Tina, our server, was awesome! The food was tasty and serving sizes were enough for two. They even served FREE Thanksgiving Dinner from 12-8pm. What a blessing to the community!

Wanted to try this restaurant for about half a year, although for the quality definitely wasnt worth it.Soup was decent, not the best the chicken alfredo had noodles that weren't cooked thoroughly and oil that needed to be changed a few days ago because it tasted very off. Same with garlic bread. For the gyros they were very dry.Even though they comped us the meal, the soup was 4 bucks a bowl for average quality food. Definitely wont be back.

My family came to see the youngest in our family graduate from Navel Bootcamp. We're staying across from here and the food is awesome. The soups and burgers were delicious and the service was excellent. Portion sizes were huge for the price. We will definitely come back here before we head back home.

My family loved the food,and two of them had not been.we had a great sever. NO NAMEthe time was around. 5pm

Breakfast was so good!!! "The American favorite" 🤔 I think that's the name. I had to go back for dinner BUT🙄 it wasn't as good as breakfast. I didn't like the wings, they fry them in the fish grease 🤢 That was so gross and I really couldn't wait to try them because they were so pretty and golden brown. I'd still go back, and try more dishes.

We stopped here on Christmas to grab something to eat because we were visiting family. The food was great. The atmosphere was fitting. The service was wonderful. It is precisely what you want and expect from a local diner. We will back up in a few weeks, and we will certainly return. It has a menu with something for everybody.

Always a good place for any meal, but I love to eat breakfast here. We've been coming here for years...all of the waitresses know us when we walk in.

Great food and service. My son had just graduated from Naval Recruit Training and was treated very special. We actually went twice in the two days we were there.

Nice family restaurant. I went with my mom. She recommended it. Open 24 hours. Staff was very nice. We got the Turkey Club sandwich and the split pea soup. Easy access off of route 41 plenty of parking.

Fantastic atmosphere. Service is excellence, friendly and very helpful. The food is 100% homemade. The chorizo omelette is loaded with jalepenos and cheese.

Great food. Large enough servings for lunch tomorrow. Great prices. Take your family or friends, or even alone. You won't regret it.

Excellent family restaurant with large portions and good price and service

Food came out super fast and was decent. Eggs are premixed not fresh cracked, but that is common. It becoming so hard to find a place that still uses cracked eggs for a scrambled and omelettes.The French toast was cold, which means it had to have been pre cooked to come out that fast. The biscuits and gravy was good as were the pancakes.The place was big and service was quick. When I was asked booster or high chair and I responded high chair the waitress said "it's over there" while I was carrying a sleeping child. Not the end of the world, but would have been helpful if she would have gotten it for me.

Great tasty portions, wonderful service and priced right! Great variety of delicious soup each day! Not your average side salad too! Home comfort food.

Water and soda had a bad taste. Food was edible but not great flavor. Soup was watered down with no veggies.

Staff is helpful and nice. The menu is big and you can combine your meal. The ingredients are fresh and tasty. Pricing is unbeatable fair. Highly recommended! I had liver with inions $10 😊

If you come for Navy graduation THUS IS THE PLACE TO EAT!! We are from the south and was worried about the food here BUT this place is awesome!!! Great home cooking and staff is AWESOME! VERY IMPRESSED.

What a wonderful place to eat with the family! Can you believe, they even give you a stirring spoon with your iced tea!! Some of these chain restaurants could learn a lot from this family establishment. What a pleasant server I had! And everyone was helping each other. They love their military men and women! Enjoy the 10% discount give to those who served and active duty personnel. I would recommend, when in North Chicago, that you check this place out! Oh yeah, let's not forget, they were offering a completely free Thanksgiving dinner to any and all that came after 12!!!

Fantastic food great people, semi parking.

Food was very good. I had a patty melt and my friend had broasted catfish and my daughter chorizo omelet. The omelet was overcooked by far but tasty. Rest of our meals good. Service was pretty mediocre nearing bad but will still go again.

This place is such a hidden gem! We've passed by it a couple times now since moving in the neighborhood 3 yrs ago. We finally went in today on a whim after lunch plans fell through. And it was the just the perfect lunch for the cold afternoon. We had the pot pie, and egg Benedict with a side of strawberry french toast. Our sever Louise was the best and even gave us a sampling of their house cheesecake. I will definitely be back for more soon, so glad its open 24/7!

Great diner that's open 24 hours off the highway. This place holds a special place to me because whenever we came back home from out of town my family stops there to eat. Or on my way home from a concert I can get delicious food at any time. Their broasted chicken is second to none. Jammed packed full of flavor. They have a large menu and breakfast is served all day. The exterior and inside may not look the greatest or modern but it gives the place character. Servers are friendly and can answer your questions. I've loved everything I have ever tried from there especially the breakfast items-skillets and omelets are my go to. You won't leave hungry I guarantee it. If you're looking for a bite to eat at any time of day you should pop in. They have daily specials and soups that keep things interesting.

Great selection, very friendly staff, huge menu. Breakfast, burgers, premium hollandaise sauce. Outdoor seating is nice. Lots of cool cars and motorcycles in the parking lot and driving by.

So I see several reviews all made around the same time frame concerning racism. I do believe these are all from the same person or family.friends of the same person. There has never been any racism in this place for over 20 years that I’ve been eating here. The food is definitely worth the price I mean they give you plenty I almost never finish a meal and the food is great. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for affordable yummy food. Obviously this man cares about his staff and his customers and the community in general considering Most servers have been there a long time Peggy has been there over 30 years her daughter had been there at least 10 years probably closer to 15+ years. I know a couple other servers have been there over 20 years. If there was really racism here a couple very long time employees would have quit considering one server is married to the cook. Please don’t believe these nasty racist reviews.

Impressive amount of good food for a reasonable price. When we 4 decided to grab some carry out we were not expecting much. We were pleasantly surprised. It is family style comfort food, so don't come here on a date. 😆 but if your staying at Navy Lodge this should be your home away from home kitchen, after you have been to Portillos! We grabbed some soups which reheated really well in the microwave, and they throw in all kinds of butter and tasty 🍞. 😋👌. If you don't have a fridge in your room you might want to split a meal.

Great prices and delicious food. Breakfast, lunch and dinner served all day, open 24/7. Wonderful service, clean restaurant - outdated decor but it suits the diner well. Coffee was strong and the homemade soup (I had split pea) was very tasty and served with bread, crackers and/or a roll. Highly recommend for a great meal any time of day.

The food and service was great. I ordered their gyro plate, and it was delicious. The lady serving us was nice too! Will definitely come back whenever I have the chance.

Loved it! The service was great & my server Anastasia was awesome! I had the Greek Skillet. Love the fact that it’s 24hrs! My dad has been coming here since he first joined the Army when he turned 19; he’s now 53!!

We stop every chance we get. We are OTR truck drivers. Its nice to be able to have a really good home cooked meal along with good service and prices. The people are amazing. Wish they had more truck parking, but can't have everything. 🤗

It was disgusting. The employees were rude and I would never come back nor recommend someone to come here. The chairs were chipped and flimsy. The table and floors were utterly dirty and gross. The floor had an abundant amount of stains. The tables were left dirty the whole time I was there. The cashier had the audacity to roll her eyes at me after I told I her I didn’t enjoy my time here. The workers kept glancing and staring at me (I’m black) which was very uncomfortable. I’ve tasted better food. I would rate this lower if I could. This is the worst restaurant so far YUCK!!!

The food is outstanding! They load you up! I could've made three gyros out of one! Wait staff, you had to ask for napkins,refills,etc. That's all I heard ma'am could I have... Maybe she had an off day!

I really like this restaurant. I have been here numerous times and have enjoyed it every, single time. Full Moon has been around for years and is your basic family type diner. When I place an order I expect, and have yet to be disappointed, with large portions, good flavor at a very reasonable price. I eat at this restaurant at least once a week and have personal favorites of the home made clam chowder and the gyros, which comes so big you have to eat it down with a fork to then be able to pick it up. Highly recommend.

I was in such awe of their hospitality, kindness and gratitude on Thanksgiving to their customers. Made my entire families day. Would definitely reccomend stopping in any day, any time 24/7. PS the pies and cakes are superb.

Great little diner off the side of the road. They have parking for truckers. The menu was extended. I’m pretty sure you can find something that you want to eat in that place. The service is good and so is the food. I look forward to going to that place every time I’m off State Road 41…

Helena was a great waitress. There was no waiting and great table service. I had breakfast here and it was good. The omelet was huge.

Grabbed lunch there. Staff is super nice. Great sense of humor and jokes. The house specialties are roasted chicken and broasted catfish. I tried the catfish. It is unbelievable. The best I have ever had.
